Ski & Snowboard Film Festivals in France
iF3 in Annecy & Snowboard Garden Festival in Grenoble
This weekend sees the International Freeski Film Festival roll into Annecy town and in two weeks time the Snowboard Garden Festival takes over Grenoble.
These two events promise to show some of this years most talked about ski & snowboard films.
The iF3 is largely considered as the Cannes of ski world (except you get a chance of meeting the stars), the film festival has been created to bring together the very best of the freeski world and to celebrate the forthcoming season.
The event starts on Friday with six films including Seth Morissons film 'The Ordinary Skier' and 'Animus' which premiered in Chamonix recently, as well as an opening party from Beat Torrent.
On Saturday & Sunday there are even more movies including the stunning All.I.Can and the aptly named 'Attack of La Nina'.
Rumor has it that MC Nate Wallace will be introducing the Ordinary Skier film.
Tickets can be purchased online here.
If skiing isn't your thing then the Snowboard Garden Festival should whet your whistle. Three days of snowboard film after snowboard film and some live music & street golf thrown in for good measure.
Isenseven will present Kaleidoscope, the Pirates will present Bottom Line and Standard Film will present TB20 featuring freeride champion Xavier de le Rue.
The event is on the 13th, 14th & 15th of October in Grenoble, full program can be found here.
If you can't make any of the festivals then check out some of the trailers. My (snowboard) vote goes to All.i.can, here's why:
